Antonia Bortone joined Kelly, Rode & Kelly, LLP as an associate in February 2015. She handles matters in various areas of civil defense litigation including automobile negligence, premises liability and other general negligence cases.
Ms. Bortone obtained Bachelor's Degrees in both Criminal Justice and Psychology from Quinnipiac University in 2008. She received her Juris Doctorate degree in 2011 from Thomas M. Cooley Law School (currently Western Michigan University Cooley Law School), located in Lansing, Michigan. She was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2012. During law school, Ms. Bortone was president of the Mock Trial Board, a member of the Moot Court Board, an Associate Editor of the Journal of Practical and Clinical Law and a selected member of the Mock Trial National Team. She was also the recipient of the Outstanding Senior Litigator award in 2011.
Ms. Bortone is currently a member of the New York State Bar Association and part of the Executive Committee of the Young Lawyers' Section as the co-liaison to the Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law Section. She is also a member of the Nassau County Bar Association.
In her spare time, Ms. Bortone enjoys traveling, kickboxing and exploring New York City.
