Barbara A. Dalton joined Kelly, Rode & Kelly, LLP as an associate in 2000. She manages all aspects of defense in medical malpractice litigation from inception to trial. She worked exclusively in defense of doctors and hospitals at several New York firms prior to joining the firm.
She graduated from Pace Law School, where she was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award for Law and Psychiatry. She was admitted to the New York State and Connecticut Bars in 1989, and to the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York in 1992.
Prior to earning her law degree, Barbara earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, cum laude, from Syracuse University and a Master of Science in Pediatric Nursing from Yale University with a certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She has over eighteen years' experience in nursing leadership roles, including Head Nurse, Pediatric Clinical Chemotherapy Research Team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Clinical Nurse Leader in Pediatrics at Massachusetts General Hospital, and Instructor of Pediatric Nursing at University of Lowell. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, National Nursing Society.
