Mr. Christopher J. Pedraita joined Kelly, Rode & Kelly, LLP, as an associate in 2017. He primarily handles various civil litigation cases defending negligence lawsuits including automobile accidents, premises liability, and property damage.
After graduating Chaminade High School, he went on to Providence College where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Certificate in Secondary Education. Mr. Pedraita earned his law degree at St. John’s University School of Law where he was a member of the Dispute Resolution Society and Executive Notes and Comments Editor on the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review. Additionally, while in law school, Mr. Pedraita was recognized for his negotiation skills as a finalist in the “1L Internal Negotiation Competition” and “Best Advocate” in the “2L/3L Internal Negotiation Competition.” Mr. Pedraita was published in his second year of law school in the area of bankruptcy. He also placed third in the nationwide Supreme Court Blog Case Competition.
Mr. Pedraita is admitted to practice in New York and Florida. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Chaminade Lawyer’s Association.
In his spare time, he enjoys volunteering at his parish and golfing.
