Christopher M. Abiuso joined the law firm of Kelly, Rode & Kelly, LLP in December 2019, and became an Associate upon admission to the New York State Bar in in May 2020. Mr. Abiuso handles general liability practice, with a focus on automobile negligence lawsuits.
Mr. Abiuso graduated Cum Laude from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2019, from which he obtained his Juris Doctorate. While in law school, Mr. Abiuso held the position of Notes Editor on the Hofstra Law Review. Mr. Abiuso has also had the privilege of having his Note on fake news and defamation laws being published and printed in Volume 47 of the Hofstra Law Review. Further, while in law school Mr. Abiuso became a member of the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from Stony Brook University in 2014, with a major in Psychology.
Mr. Abiuso has held a number of internships and positions at private law offices with varying areas of expertise: one focused on plaintiffs-side foreclosure, another focused on Amazon sellers representation (which also facilitated his publication of a book on online sellers and trademarks), and yet another was general practice.
In his free time, Mr. Abiuso likes running and weightlifting, reading, writing, cooking, and exploring the great outdoors.
