Jessica Woodrow joined Kelly, Rode & Kelly, LLP, as an associate in 2018. Ms. Woodrow handles matters involving all aspects of civil defense litigation and appeals, including general liability and malpractice cases.
Ms. Woodrow holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Mortuary Science, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from Hofstra University with a minor in Psychology. She is currently completing a Master of Public Health degree at Hofstra University, with a concentration in Health Economics and Advanced Environmental Health. Before turning to academic pursuits, Ms. Woodrow received formal conservatory training at the renowned Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater, the birthplace of the Meisner Technique.
Ms. Woodrow received her Juris Doctor degree from the City University of New York School of Law in 2017, where she participated in Moot Court, both competing on a trial team and writing competition questions. In addition to her duties as a research and teaching assistant for three Contracts professors, she developed content for online-hybrid coursework and contributed to a Contract Law textbook published in 2016. In 2017, Ms. Woodrow was selected as a New York Court of Appeals Pro Bono Scholar; her last year of law school was spent working as a provisionally admitted attorney on appeals of civil commitment orders under Article 10 of the Mental Hygiene Law, in the Special Litigation and Appeals Unit of the Mental Hygiene Legal Service, Appellate Division, 2nd Department.
Ms. Woodrow was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2018. She has a passion for theater and crossword puzzles, and enjoys playing the cello badly.
