Matthew S. De La Torre joined Kelly, Rode & Kelly, LLP, as an associate in 2017. Mr. De La Torre primarily handles cases involving all aspects of civil litigation including general negligence, automobile accidents, personal injury, and property damages. Before joining Kelly, Rode & Kelly, LLP, Mr. De La Torre worked as an associate at a white-collar criminal defense practice.
After graduating from Chaminade High School, Mr. De La Torre received a Bachelor of Arts in History and Humanities from Stony Brook University with a double minor in Philosophy and Medieval Studies. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra University School of Law in 2016 where he earned a Citation of Excellence for his pro bono work in the Law Reform Advocacy Clinic.
Mr. De La Torre was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2017 and is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, Western, and Northern Districts of New York. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
Mr. De La Torre has a passion for chess, art, and antiques.
