Olivier A. Labossiere joined Kelly, Rode & Kelly, LLP as a law clerk in 2019.
Mr. Labossiere obtained a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida in 2016. Soon after he obtained a Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2019.
While in law school, Mr. Labossiere was an Associate Editor for the American College of Trust & Estates Counsel (ACTEC) law journal. He was also Moot Coordinator of the Dispute Resolution Society and a member of the 2018 Willem C. Vis International Moot Arbitration Team. While a member of the Dispute Resolution Society, Mr. Labossiere won 3rd place in 2017, and 2nd place in 2019, in the Nelson Mandela International Negotiations Competition. In addition, Mr. Labossiere was President of Hofstra Law’s Black Law Student Association (BLSA) and Vice Chair of the Northeastern Black Law Student Association. In 2018, Mr. Labossiere was awarded BLSA Chapter Leader of the Year.
Before joining the firm, he has held an internship with a general liability defense firm and an externship in the legal department of a luxury fashion house where he gained practical skills in various practice areas including labor & employment law, real estate law, and contracts.
Outside of legal practice, Mr. Labossiere enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports, and traveling.
