Patricia L. Boland joined the law firm of Kelly, Rode & Kelly, LLP in May 2019 as an associate attorney and primarily handles cases in the firm’s automobile insurance liability practice. Ms. Boland brings a diverse range of experience in civil litigation from inception through trial in federal and state court, as well as in arbitration and administrative agency forums.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Boland was a shareholder at a boutique firm representing plaintiffs and employers in labor and employment litigation and has also represented institutional lenders in mortgage-related litigation. Ms. Boland was admitted to practice in the courts of the State of New York and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York in 2010.
Ms. Boland earned her Juris Doctorate cum laude in 2009 from Touro Law School, where she served as Research Editor for the Touro International Law Review and clerked for the Hon. Andrew G. Tarantino, Jr. She also received the CALI Award for the highest academic achievement in Trial Practice. Ms. Boland received her undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Albany, magna cum laude, where she was named to the Dean’s List and was inducted into the National History Honor Society. She is a member of the National Organization for Women – Mid-Suffolk Chapter and has presented on workplace gender issues to its members. In 2017, the Nassau County Bar Association recognized Ms. Boland as an Access to Justice Pro Bono Honoree for her volunteer legal service to the community. She was named to the New York Metro Rising Stars list by SuperLawyers for 2017, 2018 and 2019, a distinction afforded to only the top 2.5% of lawyers in the New York Metro Area.
