ROBERT W. CORBIN
Robert W. Corbin joined Kelly, Rode & Kelly in 2014 as a litigation associate. He handles general negligence cases including automobile accidents, premises liability, and property damage cases from inception through disposition.
He grew up in New Jersey and received his undergraduate degree from Providence College in 2007. Mr. Corbin graduated from Suffolk University Law School in 2011, where he was a member of the Journal of Health & Biomedical Law and was published during his 3rd year. While in law school he was a student-attorney in the Education Advocacy Clinic where he represented students at school, court, special education hearings, and mediation/resolution sessions, as well as clerked at a plaintiff's medical malpractice firm. Moreover, he competed in the National Baseball Arbitration Competition at Tulane University Law School where he and his teammate were national semi-finalists and won best brief distinctions.
Following law school, Mr. Corbin passed both the New York and New Jersey Bar examinations and returned to New Jersey where he clerked for the Hon. Travis L. Francis, Assignment Judge, Middlesex Vicinage, New Jersey. While in this position, he became a state-certified mediator and gained valuable experience by handling the Judge's chancery docket as well as various motions that civil practice rules require be heard by the acting Assignment Judge.
After clerking, Mr. Corbin joined his father's general practice in New Brunswick, New Jersey as an associate. There he gained experience by regularly appearing in court for various legal proceedings, including sitting second chair on multiple trials.
Outside of work, Robert enjoys hiking and playing soccer.
