Mary J. Joseph joined Kelly, Rode & Kelly, LLP as an associate in November 2017. Mary began her legal career almost two decades ago, and has successfully defended the interests of numerous large insurance companies and their policyholders in actions involving premises, motor vehicle, construction site, products liability and insurance coverage matters. She has handled matters both from the plaintiff’s and defendant’s points of view.
Earlier in her career, she focused on appellate practice, handling the appeals at a prominent defense firm, and thereafter as a principal appellate court attorney for the New York State Appellate Division, First Department, where she prepared confidential reports for the Appellate Justices on a wide range of civil and criminal matters.
Mary was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in Accounting from Hofstra University. She earned her Juris Doctor degree at St. John’s University School of Law. She was admitted to practice law in New York State in 1998 and is admitted to the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York.
